I have an extremely important message for you today and can truly make or break any and all efforts you make towards a new or current goal and as a Vancouver personal trainer I have seen it break many people’s efforts. It is nothing new but many people have never heard it or have never really been willing to apply it.
Throughout my life I have understood certain aspects of it and applied it thankfully and as a Vancouver Personal Trainer I see the detrimental effects of it almost everyday. As a Vancouver Personal Trainer I am excited because it’s starting to get warmer and we get the odd day that the rain stops and we actually see sun in the sky. And you know exactly what that signals..
And with summer comes tighter clothing, more skin, swimsuits and the desire to want to look your best.
Here are some tips to help get you to that Sexy Summer Body.
1. Be SMART and have a strict deadline - Being a Vancouver personal trainer this is one thing I always tell my clients that they must have – a SMART goal. Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Resonant and Time Dependent (have a deadline). If your goal is to just lose weight (meaning you don’t have all these factors integrated into your goal) how would you know if you ever achieved it. Sure maybe the scale went down a couple pounds but for most that doesn’t cut it. Your goal should sound something like this: “I want to lose 23 pounds by July 15th because I have booked a photographer to do a photoshoot”. It incorporates all the factors and also adds huge accountability in this case because you have paid and booked a photographer. Side Step Push Up
In the top of the push up position with each hand on a slider, step out with your right foot and slide out with your right hand. As you do this drop into a push up. Drive up and then slide/step back to original position and then go to the other side.
Oblique Knee Tucks
Top of the push up position with both feet on one slider, abs tight, back straight, pull your knees towards one elbow, back to the start position and then pull towards the other elbow.

So it was a long weekend here in Vancouver for British Columbia Day this past weekend. As most of you know I headed home to Penticton to see the parents and spend some time relaxing.
