In August 2009, I opened Vancouver Fit Body Boot Camp with the mission to change the lives of the Vancouver community. Yes, Vancouver is one of the healthiest cities in the world but there are still thousands of people who need help and haven’t been able to do it on their own.

Since opening in 2009 we have helped our clients, your neighbours, lose thousands of pounds and inches from their bodies and change their lives for the better.

We are making a dent in the health of the Vancouver community and we have clients that commute sometimes up to an hour to attend Fit Body Boot Camp because of the results we guarantee and have helped others achieve.

I have devoted my life over the last few years to truly learn everything I can about fitness, fat loss and helping people achieve their best selves through proper training, nutrition, mindset and coaching with over 8 years of “in the tranches” training.

I was fortunate to grow up as a very active child and enjoy the benefits of that activity first hand. What I also saw though, through the lives of my family and friends, is what a history of injuries and inactivity can do to one’s health both in the short- and long-term. It was these factors that made me want to share the gift of fitness and health.

This then led me to get my Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics (also known as Kinesiology or exercise science) from the University of British Columbia and from there, I pursued the opportunity to work and learn from very high level coaches and trainers in the industry. In my first few years of training clients, I had the opportunity to train all different types of people from those who have never exercised before, to those focused on weight gain, those focused on weight loss and all the way up to National and Olympic level athletes.

My pursuit of learning then led me to realize so much of the results (or lack of results) comes down to our mindset about ourselves, what we think we can achieve and are capable of, so I started focusing on studying not just fitness and nutrition but the mind and how it determines whether you achieve your results or not.

I have personally invested tens of thousands of dollars towards my studies and personal improvement so I can become the best possible trainer, coach and partner in your health journey.

With the mission to change the lives of the Vancouver community, I have come to realize the biggest impact I can make is by focusing my efforts on weight loss and optimal health and so that is exactly what Fit Body Boot Camp is all about!

Truthfully, knowledge alone does not make you a great coach and it is my sincere mission to help coach you every step of the way through your personal fitness journey. I have worked with dozens, if not hundreds of people, who have been exactly where you are now; battling the hurdles and obstacles that life brings that must be overcome before you can truly make transformation happen.
We pride ourselves on offering the best training and nutritional programming money can buy. We take even greater pride in our ability to coach someone, no matter where they are starting from – whether it is 10 pounds away from rocking their bikini body to walking through our doors having 100+ pounds to lose.

I can say this with extreme confidence after working with everyone from the average Joe to the professional athlete, it doesn’t matter what you are trying to achieve, our staff will help you every step of the way to achieve your goals.

The mental game.

On this blog and in my Vancouver boot camp everyday we talk about the mental game because without it we will not stick with our goals. We won’t be disciplined and do what we need to do on a daily basis. We won’t remain focused on our goal and the reason why. Without the mental aspect we will not make the right decisions for our health and fitness.

It is exercise, nutrition and mindset in combination which are what gets you to your health and fitness goals. If one of these is missing you can bet you will not reach your goals to the extent you would like or within the deadline you want.
